Statistics Poland is a body of government administration and according to article 9 of the Law of August 27th, 2009 on public finances (Journal of Laws No 157, position 1240) it belongs to the sector of public finances. Incomes and expenses of public finance sector units are accounted for in state budget, which is passed annually by Polish parliament in, form of the budget Law, for a period of one calendar year.
Budgetary incomes and expenses age grouped according to uniform budgetary classification determined by the Regulation of the Minister of Finance of December 4th, 2009 on detailed classification of incomes, expenses, revenues and expenditures, and funds originating from foreign sources (Journal of Law, No 211, position 1633). According to the classification of budgetary parts, determined by the above mentioned Regulation, the budget of Statistics Poland constitutes part 58 of the state budget.
President of Statistics Poland is the administrator of part 58 of the state budget (chief administrator of budgetary funds). President of Statistics Poland bears responsibility for entire financial economy, maintains supervision and control over financial administration in organisational units subordinated to him.
Civil Service Director of the Office, directors of: regional statistical offices, Central Statistical Computing Centre, Statistical Publishing Establishment and Central Statistical Library are, on ground of authorisation from the President of Statistics Poland, administrators of 3rd degree of budgetary funds in Head Office of Statistics Poland.

Budgetary units of official statistics carry out financial management according to rules defined in the Law on public finances (Journal of Laws, No 249, position 2104). Expenses of budgetary units are entirely borne by the budget, and collected incomes are treated as budgetary income and transferred to the account of state budget income, with exception of own revenue defined in article 22 of Law on public finances.
Budgetary institutions of official statistics perform tasks in field of training activities. Training centres cover the costs of their activities form own revenues, and upon the settlement of the budgetary year they transfer surplus of current assets to the budget.
The assets of Statistics Poland, including buildings entrusted for permanent administration, constitute the property of State Treasury.
