Bulletin of Public Information

Statistical offices are entrusted with performing the following specialised tasks on the national level, as part of the activity aimed at official statistics as a whole:

Statistical Office in Białystok

The Office specialises in the implementation of national tasks performed for public statistics as a whole in the fields of forestry and environmental protection; within this field they cooperate with the relevant departments of Statistics Poland at each stage of the works.

Statistical Office in Bydgoszcz 

The Office specialises in performing specialised tasks on the national level, aimed at official statistics as a whole, in the field of labour market statistics, regarding persons employed in the national economy, persons unemployed and looking for a job, persons registered in labour offices, labour demand, working time, work permits for foreigners in the Republic of Poland, as well as wages and salaries. Conducting activity in this area, it also cooperates with the relevant departments of Statistics Poland for labour statistics at each stage of work. 

Statistical Office in Gdańsk 

The Office specialises in implementing tasks on the national level as part of the activity related to official statistics as a whole in such fields as education, human capital, unpaid work, including voluntary work, working conditions statistics and labour force statistics, and cooperates in this area with relevant departments of Statistics Poland on each stage of the works. 

Statistical Office in Katowice

The Office specialises in the implementation of national tasks performed for public statistics as a whole in the following fields: regional accounts, statistics of the financial market and its entities, financial instruments, capital expenditures and fixed assets, environmental protection, expenditures and the tangible outcomes of investments in environmental protection, and water management; within this field they cooperate with relevant departments of Statistics Poland at each stage of the works.  

Statistical Office in Kielce 

The Office specialises in performing specialised tasks on the national level, aimed at official statistics as a whole, in the field of:

1. unregistered economy;

1. in registered economic entities, as regards estimates on income, wages and salaries, global production, intermediate consumption and gross value added,
2. illegal activity and its estimated size;

2.  trade and services statistics in the field of internal trade, catering, international trade in services, assessment of enterprises providing economic activity services, and demand for services. Conducting activity in this area, it also cooperates with relevant departments of Statistics Poland.  

Statistical Office in Kraków 

The Office specialises in performing specialised tasks on the national level, aimed at official statistics as a whole, in the field of social economy, health and health protection, culture, social assistance, foster care and rescue. Conducting activity in this area, it also cooperates with relevant departments of Statistics Poland for social surveys, performing the role of the substantive coordinator in these fields at each stage of work. 

Statistical Office in Lublin 

The Office specialises in the implementation of national tasks performed for public statistics as a whole in the field of housing and utilities statistics, as well as construction statistics; within this field they cooperate with the relevant Statistics Poland departments at each stage of the works.  

Statistical Office in Łódź

The Office specialises in implementing the following tasks:

1. national tasks performed for official statistics as a whole - at each stage of the works – in the fields of statistics of small and medium-sized enterprises and the living conditions of the population;
2. connected with separate elements of the statistical survey process and methodology, and participates in the creation, development and interpretation of classification standards and nomenclatures,

cooperating in this area with respective departments of Statistics Poland functioning as technical coordinators.
 

Statistical Office in Olsztyn 

The Office specialises in implementing tasks on the national level as part of the activity related to official statistics as a whole in the following fields:

• demography and population migration;
• social statistics;
• statistics on agriculture;
• statistics on rural areas;
• statistical surveys of the production of industrial goods;
• design and programming work,

cooperating in this area with respective departments of Statistics Poland functioning as technical coordinators on each stage of the works, and with the Statistical Information Technology Centre.

Statistical Office in Opole

The Office specialises in performing specialised tasks on the national level, aimed at official statistics as a whole, in the field of prices of consumer and non-consumer goods and services, producer prices of food products, prices of road and bridge work and constructions, prices in foreign trade, producer prices of services, and prices in agriculture. Conducting activity in this area, it also cooperates with relevant departments of Statistics Poland at each stage of work.

Statistical Office in Poznań 

1. As regards short-term statistics, urban statistics, and small areas statistics: 
   1. performing the tasks arising from the statistical surveys programme of official statistics,
   2. designing methodological solutions,
   3. submitting proposals to the statistical surveys programme of official statistics,
   4. collecting, gathering and analysing statistical data,
   5. developing publications in accordance with statistical compilations plans and publishing plans,
   6. cooperating with institutions, higher education establishments and scientific circles;
2. Conducting project and programme work regarding short-term statistics urban statistics, small areas statistics, and macro-economic databases, in the scope determined separately by the President of Statistics Poland;
3. Working on the use of administrative data sources;
4. Taking part in compiling information and collective publications by territorial division;
5. Compiling national datasets and tables in the scope determined separately by the President of Statistics Poland.

Statistical Office in Rzeszów

The Office specialises in implementing tasks on the national level as part of the activity related to official statistics as a whole in the following fields:

1. sports and tourism statistics;
2. the statistics of the material and fuel and energy markets;
3. cross-border surveys and euroregional statistics.
    

Statistical Office in Szczecin 

The Office specialises in the implementation of national tasks performed for public statistics as a whole in the following fields of:

1. statistics of science, technology, innovation and information society, maritime statistics, inland waterway transport statistics;
2. transport and communications statistics;

Within this field they cooperate with the relevant department of Statistics Poland functioning as a technical coordinator in the fields at each stage of the works.  

Statistical Office in Warsaw

1. As regards statistics on non-financial enterprises:
   1. performing the tasks arising from the statistical surveys programme of official statistics,
   2. submitting proposals to amend the draft version of the statistical surveys programme of official statistics,
   3. designing forms and input structures of statistical data,
   4. collecting, gathering, analysing and compiling statistical data,
   5. working on the use of administrative data sources,
   6. participating in methodological work and international cooperation,
   7. developing publications in accordance with statistical compilations plans and publishing plans,
   8. maintaining field-specific databases containing statistics on non-financial enterprises;
2. Cooperating with Statistics Poland in performing the tasks aimed at maintaining and developing statistical registers, including in particular related update methods, based on the data from information systems of public administration;
3. Developing methods and forms of statistical data collection, and in particular designing and testing forms, definitions and questions used in sample surveys;
4. Designing data integration and standardisation methods, using information systems of public administration;
5. Transforming administrative datasets into statistical datasets;
6. Preparing compilations in the field of metropolitan area statistics;
7. Compiling information and collective publications by territorial division;
8. Cooperating with Statistics Poland and with the Statistical Information Centre in the scope of testing IT solutions;
9. Compiling national and regional datasets, and preparing national and regional tables, as well as conducting project and programme work in the scope determined separately by the President of Statistics Poland.

Statistical Office in Wrocław

The Officel specialises in the implementation of national tasks performed for public statistics as a whole, cooperating with the relevant departments of Statistics Poland and statistical departments in the field of:

1. conducting statistical research:
   1. state authorities
   2. bodies of local government and municipal land,
   3. local government in the field of: forestry and environmental protection, housing and community, maintaining cleanliness and order, domestic transport, “green spaces”, fixed assets,
   4. units within the sector of public finances in the field of debts, liabilities, guarantees and bails, as well as selected financial assets,
   5. production of industrial goods;
2. elaborating the statistics of the government and local government institutions sector, especially:
   1. performing analysis within the field of entity sector of government and local government institutions,
   2. conducting statistical research of the units within the sector, which do not belong to the units of the public finance sector,
   3. elaborating data and questionnaires according to applicable requirements of the European Union,
   4. preparing documents and materials for meetings and consultations fulfilling the needs of international cooperation, as well as participating in international meetings;
3. administering the informational resources and the metadata of the Bank Danych Lokalnych (BDL - The Bank of Local Data), as well as initiating and conducting methodological works related to its development, especially: 
   1. expansion of the information content of BDL, including the introduction of the module of sustainable Development indicators at the regional and local level,
   2. works on the system of sharing data from BDL, including the works related to the expansion of functional modules;
4. international cooperation within the field of cross-border statistics, especially:
   1. conducting cross-border research, especially in cooperation with Ośrodek Badań Obszarów Transgranicznych i Statystyki Euroregionalnej (The Research Center of the Cross-border Areas and Euroregional Statistics) of the Statistical Office in Rzeszów,
   2. elaborating and publishing materials regarding the Euroregions along the borders of Poland,
   3. performing development works of the information system regarding the cross-border areas - Cross-border friendship Database;
5. coordination of IT works related to maintaining web sites by statistical offices within the framework of Statistics Poland Information Portal.

Statistical Office in Zielona Góra

The Office specialises in the implementation of national tasks performed for public statistics as a whole in the field of the economic situation in agriculture, as well as the study of the economic situation conducted via a method of economic test in industrial manufacturing, construction, trade, other services sector, as well as on farms; within this field they cooperate with the relevant departments of Statistics Poland at each stage of the works.
